About Siân

Siân Edwards is a communications expert, storyteller and creative leader who helps people and organisations say what matters, and say it well.

Fluent in Welsh and English, she has over 13 years’ experience shaping how public bodies, charities and communities communicate, from the Department of Health and Social Care in Whitehall to many roles within the NHS. Her work has included national media campaigns, internal staff engagement, crisis response, and creative storytelling projects that turn policy and purpose into connection and pride.

Siân believes that good communication builds trust, and that one wrong message can undo it. Her skill lies in helping organisations find their voice, protect their reputation, and communicate in ways that bring people with them. Whether it’s navigating a crisis, launching a new initiative, or inspiring a community, she ensures every word has meaning and impact.

Now at Done Together, Siân brings her national experience home to Wrexham. She’s passionate about using storytelling, creativity and culture to connect people, celebrate local talent, and show what’s possible when communities come together with pride and purpose.

Professional Background

Many organisations know their work is important, but struggle to explain it clearly, consistently or confidently. That’s where Siân comes in. She helps:

  • Build clarity and confidence – turning complex ideas into messages people understand and believe in.

  • Protect and rebuild trust – guiding organisations through sensitive or crisis situations with honesty and care.

  • Engage people from the inside out – strengthening internal communications so teams, volunteers and communities feel informed and involved.

  • Tell powerful stories – using creativity, bilingual storytelling and cultural insight to connect people to place and purpose.

  • Create meaningful moments – from community events to arts collaborations, bringing people together to share stories that matter.

For charities, community organisations and public services, how you communicate can make or break trust. It can decide whether people get involved, support your work, or turn away.

Siân helps organisations use words, stories and creativity to make their messages meaningful — so that what they do isn’t just seen, but felt.

Role in the CIC

At Done Together, Siân leads on communications strategy, cultural partnerships and community storytelling. She ensures every piece of work, from campaigns to content, reflects the organisation’s commitment to inclusion, transparency and authenticity.

A passionate advocate for collaboration, Siân works closely with community media, grassroots groups and local creatives to promote civic pride and tell Wrexham’s story on its own terms.
