Done Together CIC is a women-led social enterprise in Wrexham, reinvesting project profits into grassroots ideas through its Together Fund

Founded by five professionals with shared roots at Wrexham University, the team blends strategy, events, comms, and inclusion to help communities deliver bold, creative projects that build pride and tackle inequality.

A group of women with shared professional roots at Wrexham University have launched a new social enterprise designed to ensure that as Wrexham’s profile rises on the national stage, local people and grassroots organisations rise with it.

Done Together Community Interest Company (CIC) combines professional expertise in events, project management, communications, strategy, and social impact, with a commitment to reinvesting every penny of surplus back into community projects across Wrexham and North Wales.

Natalie Edwards, Visionary Director of Done Together, said: “Wrexham’s energy right now is incredible – there’s a real sense of possibility.

“Wrexham made me who I am. I’m proud of the professional and educational opportunities I’ve had here, and I want to give that back, by helping grassroots organisations to deliver their ideas with the same excellence and ambition that’s putting our city on the map.

“When I founded Done Together, I had this idea: what if we brought together some of the most brilliant minds I know – from project management, events, communications, culture, education and inclusion – to support community groups who have amazing ideas but need the skills or capacity to bring them to life?

“And what if, then, through our Together Fund, we can reinvest the monies made into projects of our own – the kind of creative, joyful ideas that make people see Wrexham differently. Imagine a silent disco in St Giles’ Church, or a ‘Dating in the Dark’ night that brings people together in a totally new way. That’s the kind of energy and imagination we want to unlock, turning Wrexham’s cultural experience from a town to a city, and showing we can stand proudly alongside anywhere in the world.”

The five-woman leadership team brings together decades of experience across project and event management, communications, governance, inclusion, psychology, strategy and youth development – with each director having worked with or taught at Wrexham University.

Among them is Amber Percy, whose background in youth work and social justice underpins the organisation’s commitment to creating fair opportunities for young people and underrepresented communities.

Amber Percy, Director of Youth & Inclusion, said: “Done Together isn’t about coming in and taking over. It’s about collaboration – sharing skills, opening doors and showing what can happen when communities are given the same quality of delivery and creativity as any national organisation.”

Done Together’s ‘Surplus with Purpose’ model means all profits from projects done for other organisations are reinvested into a dedicated Together Fund to support grassroots initiatives — particularly those led by or serving underrepresented groups.

Siân Edwards, Director of Communications & Culture, added: “Wrexham’s culture has shaped so much of who I am – from singing in the Urdd Eisteddfod as a child to nights spent at gigs in Central Station. This city’s creative energy is special, and it deserves to be celebrated on a bigger stage.

“I’ve spent my career helping organisations communicate with clarity and confidence, and now I want to bring that same professional excellence back home – helping community groups to tell their stories and, through our Together Fund, create cultural projects and events of my own that celebrate Wrexham’s creativity and inspire real pride in what our city can be.”

The team is already in discussion with local partners about upcoming community events and social impact projects, with an early focus on helping smaller organisations make the most of new funding opportunities and raising Wrexham’s profile as a place of creativity, inclusion and excellence.
