Credu Cymru becomes our first commissioned client, in a partnership that helped spark our creation

We are proud to announce that Credu Cymru is the first organisation to formally commission Done Together CIC — a milestone that feels both significant and deeply personal for our newly formed, women-led social enterprise rooted in Wrexham.

While Done Together has already supported a number of early one-off workshops and community projects, this partnership with Credu Cymru marks our first secured piece of contracted work. It is the moment we move from “helping where needed” to delivering our first full, commissioned project as a social enterprise.

Credu Cymru supports young and adult carers across Wrexham and wider Wales, providing guidance, advocacy and opportunities that help carers feel valued, connected and empowered. As a well-established charity (founded in 2003), Credu Cymru supports around 8,000 carers across North and Mid Wales – including those in Wrexham, Conwy, Denbighshire, Powys and Ceredigion – and is a key partner in carer advocacy across the region.

Credu Cymru has commissioned Done Together CIC (Done Together) to support the co-design and delivery of the 2026 Wrexham Young Carers Celebration Event, an annual gathering honouring the resilience, contributions and everyday brilliance of young carers across the region. We have been working on this since we were first asked to get involved in September.

This partnership is more than a first client. It is the perfect expression of the Done Together purpose: We listen. We guide. We deliver. We get it done together.

A first client that naturally aligns with our purpose

Selecting Done Together for this project reflects the trust Credu Cymru places in our values and our approach to community-led delivery. For our team, this opportunity represents an ideal opening chapter in the story of who we are — and why we exist.

Natalie Edwards, Lead Director at Done Together CIC, said: “Conversations about this project first began while I was still working at Wrexham University. At that time, I wasn’t in a position to support Credu Cymru commercially, but it highlighted a clear need in the community – and planted the seed for Done Together.

“For this partnership to now become our very first as a new social enterprise feels incredibly special. Done Together was created to work alongside people, fill skills or capacity gaps, and help brilliant ideas come to life in ways that benefit the whole community. Working with Credu Cymru and the inspiring Young Carers of Wrexham perfectly reflects what we stand for: helping people and places fulfil their potential, together.”

Young Carers at the heart of the event

As part of our role with this event, we’ve been facilitating engagement sessions and a nomination survey with Young Carer ambassadors – the visionaries shaping what this celebration will become.

Through workshops and co-design activities, young carers have contributed ideas and decisions on:

  • event themes and colour palettes

  • certificate designs

  • catering options and preferred venues

  • entertainment, performances and accessibility needs

  • the overall feel of the celebration.

Their fingerprints are on every part of the event. It’s not just for young carers — it’s made with them.

Professional delivery with purpose

Our work with Credu Cymru includes end-to-end support:

  • venue and catering research

  • supplier and artist coordination

  • workshop facilitation

  • nomination management

  • event planning and logistics

  • communications support

  • on-the-day setup and set-down.

From creative engagement to the practical “getting it done,” our team is ensuring the event reflects the ambitions and voices of the young people it celebrates.

Natalie added: “This project allows us to demonstrate expert consultancy, meaningful engagement and hands-on delivery. We’re excited to bring our skills, networks and community spirit to a celebration designed by and for the young carers of Wrexham.”
